Services for Mr. Joseph Phillips will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 @6pm-8pm at the St. James United People Church, 1008 Berry Street, Pineville, Louisiana with the Rev. Joseph Lewis, officiating.
Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery in Pineville, Louisiana under the direction of Boyce Community Funeral Home.
Mr. Phillips, 90, of Pineville, Louisiana passes away on July 17, 2020 at the Hilltop Nursing Center in Pineville, Louisiana.
Mr. Joseph Phillips was baptized Methodist at an early age in Brent, Alabama and later moved to Detroit, Michigan where he worked at the Chrysler Motor Company. He worked there for 35 years. Mr. Phillips really loved Western movies. But most importantly, he loved his family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Charlie and Cassie Phillips; daughters: Mary, Ruth and Monique; brothers: John, Luther and Cleveland; sisters: Ruby Lee, Flonne, Mary, Catherine and Lucille.
Mr. Phillips leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mary Coleman Phillips; his son Vince Gaines, one sister, Mazzell Owens Blackwell; and a host of grand children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
