Peggy Lorraine Nottingham Stewart, age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her home in Pineville, Louisiana. A graveside memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kingsville on Monday, September 25, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Peggy was born in Marietta, Oklahoma on June 30, 1931. She grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma. After marrying Wirt "Pete" Stewart, she lived in military posts both overseas and in the United States. After her husband's retirement from the U. S. Army, they moved back to Pineville, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Lena Young Nottingham; her son, Dwight Edward Stewart; her stepson, Charles W. Stewart; her brothers, Ernest, Ruben, Elton, Nathan, and Leonard and her sisters, Louise, Juanita, Margaret and Mignon. She is survived by her son, Keith Stewart; sister, Judy Nottingham Huff; daughters-in-law, Linda Dyess Stewart and Jeannie Daenen Stewart Bradshaw; grandsons, Jason Stewart (Misty); Nathan Stewart (Jennifer); and Grant Stewart; granddaughters, Alisha Stewart and Katrina Stewart Porter (Jeff); and step -grandsons Kerry Stewart, and Michael Stewart (Shannon). She is also survived by great-granchildren, Maggie, Matthew, Dwight, Noah, Isaiah, Kayson, Rylee, Adlee, Jordan, Kelsey, Kiersten, Aaron, Kaylie and Gavin. Peggy was a wonderful cook and she loved to prepare big meals for her family. She also loved to read and travel. She often said that her favorite place was at the camp at Toledo Bend. She also loved and collected antiques. The family would like to sincerely thank "Audie" Or for being Peggy's caretaker and friend during the past two years.
